About

WebToolMage

WebToolMage is a small set of pages for checking website configuration you already have in front of you. Each page takes text you paste or type, applies one narrow check, and shows the result on that page.

The checks

  • The robots.txt tester applies this site’s matcher to a pasted file, a user-agent, and one path.
  • The robots.txt generator drafts a file from the user-agent, Allow, Disallow, and sitemap fields you enter.
  • The sitemap validator reads sitemap XML you paste and reports structural problems. It does not download the URLs.
  • The meta tag checker reads a pasted head snippet for title, description, and robots tags.
  • The SERP snippet preview shows how a title and description sit in a local mock. It is not a live search result.
  • The canonical checker compares a pasted canonical link with the URL you are judging.
  • The Open Graph preview reads pasted Open Graph tags into a local card. It does not fetch the image.
  • The URL inspector splits a URL you type into its parts. It does not open that URL.

Who it is for

Use it when you are editing a site and want a second look at a robots file, a sitemap export, a head snippet, or a URL before you publish. It is not a hosting panel, a rank tracker, or a crawl of someone else’s site.

What stays on this page

The checks run in the browser on the text in the form. These tools do not upload that text to a WebToolMage server and do not request the website named in the form. Copy and download stay on the device. Google Analytics can load only after you choose Accept. Advertising storage stays denied, and AdSense ads are not loaded.

Limits

  • A result describes this page’s parser, not a guarantee about how any search engine will treat the URL later.
  • HTML and XML are read as text. Scripts in a paste are not run.
  • Redirects, login walls, and live DNS are out of scope.
  • Developer formatters and data-file converters are not part of this site. Those jobs belong to other Mage tools.

How the pages fit together

Draft a robots file, then test a path against it. Check a sitemap export separately from the robots file. Check title and meta tags, then look at the local snippet and Open Graph card. None of those pages replaces the others, and none of them publishes the site for you.
